Doing a Masters in New Zealand
Do you have a Bachelor’s degree from a Sri Lankan state university or another country? Then you qualify to apply for a Master’s programme in New Zealand.
(Masters in New Zealand) The entry requirement is normally a three year bachelor degree. If you have a minimum 2nd class honours you are able to gain entry to any of the universities in New Zealand. Further, if your GPA is a B+ average or above you may qualify for a scholarship. If your grade is a General Pass, you are still able to apply for institutes of technology and polytechnics in New Zealand (commonly known as polytechnics).

As a master’s student in New Zealand, you are eligible for several added benefits. You will be getting part time work rights of 20 hours per week and full time during breaks. If married, your spouse is able to join with you with full time work rights and your children with domestic student rates. On completion of you masters, you will be granted a three- year open post-study work visa. During these three you years your family too will get the same benefits as above.
